Please respond to the following information.
Jason made a donation of $100 to Kroozin Matter
Park.  He is a member of Bend of the River
Neighborhood Assn and has given us a sponsor form for
their Go-Kart Race.  This neighborhood is on north
Boots and Washington St area and you might have seen
their banners on the lightpoles.  They block off some
of the streets for this go kart race and put sponsors
names on the go-karts (for $100) and Sponsor boards,
radio & newspaper thank yous for ($50).  JD, do you
know the date of this race?  Artie, what is the club
balance?  Let me know how you vote for this
sponsorship.

KMP  --  We need large plastic containers (20 gal type
size) to store goody bags so will need them from June
20 to June 30.  Also, need small plastic containers
(sweater size) to store money bags.  These will also
be put together on the 20th.  We are working on the
bags tomorrow and hope to have all of the coins by the
20th.  Please respond to let us know about containers
and if you plan to help with the "stuffing" on the
20th at Matter Park Shelter.

Club members Charlie Pack and Wayne Hawk left Saturday
for the LA Roadster Show with some family and friends.
Please keep them in your prayers.

Good Evening,
Trust that everyone had a good weekend--terrific
weather.  But we could use some rain during the night.

We have a special request if you are so inclined to be
a chauffeur.  Kristy Evans is getting married August
18 in the Avon area and would like to surprise her
husband with a "lead sled ride".  If you can help,
call 317-506-3882.

Hello,
Following Kroozin Matter Park 2007 on Saturday, June
30, 2007, the Marion Walton Center Arts Society is
sponsoring a "Concert in the Park" featuring Joe
Billingslea and "The Contours" from about 4-5:30pm
This show will be in Matter Park unless the weather is
bad; then it will be in the Walton Performing Arts
Center at Marion High School.  Admission is $15.00 or
Jerry Hendey has advance tickets for $13.00 ( I am not
sure when Jerry has to return these tickets, so get
with him soon 765-674-3097).  The following is a note
from Jerry.

AJ Could you pass this along Net zero won't let me
send to this many! Thanks Jerry
If any one would like tickets for the Contours I
have them with me at all times. You don't want to
miss this. If this one goes well we will have the
Platters, Drifters and Coasters there next year, But
it depends on this year, so please help us to sell
tickets. Can you imagine having those 3 there next
year, I can't believe how lucky we are to have the
Walton Center behind us this year. Thanks Jerry
Hendey

June 25, 2007

Good Morning, Gangsters,
SHOWTIME IS HERE!!
As you already suspected that was the topic of the day
at the meeting.  I, AJ, did not have my thinking cap
on (as usual) so we did not fold t-shirts but we did
get them out to those that had ordered them.  I took
towels to wipe the tables so they were halfway clean
but I just did not feel good about folding white
t-shirts on them and did not think about taking a
tablecloth.  If you were not at the meeting but will
be at LJS on Wednesday evening, I will try to get your
shirts out there.
Jerry & Leroy gave an overview of the plans.  If you
do not have a job scheduled and want to help in a
certain area, contact: Artie-Snack Shop, Jack
Marshall-ice cream, Mary Ann or Kathy-Goody Bags,
AJ-registration, Adam-signs & artwork, Rodney-judging,
Gary & Betty-games, Steve Collins-swap meet, Jerry
Hendey or Bob Geimer-vendor setup, Jack Butler-traffic
control, Leroy-front gate, Jerry Allgood-awards &
spectator interaction, Rusty Elliott-security.  Around
noon on Friday, Jerry Allgood will need someone to
help him go to the senior center to get tables &
chairs.  Around noon on Saturday, Leroy will need guys
to help get the engine and transmission out to the
park.  Who have I forgotten?  Everyone else report to
the club pavilion to help when needed.
Bill's Hot Rod shop will be in the indoor vendor area
this year and can use help unloading.  So if you see a
big enclosed trailer with a duallie, please try to
help them.  And of course, any other vendors that need
help.
If you still have your STAFF badge that Scott made
last year, please bring it.
Artie will load the freezers on Thursday and pick up
the ice cream Friday morning.
Damon Combs, Sonny & JoEllen Cook, Bob Elzey, Bobby
Jenkins & Larry Williams were nominated for the 2007
Wolfman award.  We voted to put the last 4 names in a
hat and draw because of the difficult decision.
We voted to sell the ice cream for $.50 instead of
donations.  Jack can still give it away when he wants.
Mark your name and price on anything you want placed
in the swap meet and take it to the area next to the
enclosed pavilion and the host parking area and see
Steve.
If you know a veteran and he can be at the awards on
Saturday, ask him if he wants to be in the veterans
only drawing.  Free tickets will be located in the
registration area.
