Hey, Gangsters,
I would like to second the GREAT JOB!!  And THANK YOU
to ALL who helped make Kroozin Matter Park another
success.  A special thanks to Jerry Hendey for his
hard work all year long.
It takes the entire club to pull off 346 entries (119
increase over our first show).    Is that 34%!!
Look out 2008!!
Get your thinking caps on to come up with unique ideas
for our 2008 theme --  Custer's Last Stand.  We locals
know all about Custer's, but we need to be able to
convey "Curisin Custer's" to EVERYONE.

The restroom problem is something that we will be
better prepared for in the future.  The trash can
problem was addressed last year but we need to be more
vigilant next year.  We need to move Keith
(the DJ) back a little so that registration is more
visible.  Get your ideas to the show committee now,
while they are still fresh in your mind. Might be a
good idea to have a meeting now to discuss the show
and how we can improve it.  Leroy had the comment made
to him that "our signs were so professional that they
did not see them".  Now that is a problem that I think
we can live with!

We cannot thank each one enough for the magnificent
job that you did.

The following note is from Greg (an officer from
Grissom, I think).
The car show was well organized and the location was
outstanding. Even though I was disappointed that I did
not win anything, I do want to commend you and your
staff on the effort and hard work. I was disappointed
in the condition of the porta-potties and trash cans
were non-existent in the lower park.

It was gratifying that a few car owners approached me
and thought I should have won. I just think that the
judges didn't take the time necessary to appreciate
the "detailed"  and unique mods I have done to my car.
You mentioned that there really wasn't a class for my
car but in all honesty, why would that matter? It's a
car. It has an engine and four tires just like every
other car. If your judges are not familiar with a
Lexus, all they had to do was ask.

I will reply to Greg's note, but have not yet.

The following note is from Rod & Karol

Subject: Good Job!
Date: Mon, 2 Jul 2007 20:06:20 -0400

Leroy and Anna Marie,
Just wanted to tell both of you what a good
job you did on the car show. Also, thanks for the
staff that judged and directed the traffic. We had
"0" problems, and few questions. If anyone ever ask,
why our car show is a success, I will tell them,
"Its because our members come and work. Get rested
up for next year, if we have a increase next year
like we had this year we will have to add 1 hour to
judging.
         Thanks for the fun!!
Rod and his pink antenna friend

Shows are a lot of hard work but they make you
appreciate the people who put on the shows that we
attend.  That work is also a lot of fun!
Crown City does 8 shows a year, of different sizes.

Personally, I really appreciated the local support
that we received this year. If you bank at Star
Financial on the bypass or eat at McDonalds north, for
at least the next month, thank them every time you go
in for having Kroozin Matter Park on their reader
board.  We do not usually eat at McDonalds but I will
make an extra effort to stop in there and get
something and thank them for their support.  Did you
notice any other signs besides Gary Moon's at Yummy's?
The Chronicle did a super job this year.  I hope our
appreciation gets to the proper people.  We will get
our sponsor "thanks" out before too long.

Many thanks again to all for a great show.
Leroy & Anna Marie

Hi Gangsters & Friends,
Was this another great weekend or what!!
The weather is so nice we are having our evening

built a huge pavillion and a bandshell. You are all

*Louis & Judy, P-Nut & Linda, Earl Savage and Mike
Salter. Congratulations to Crown City Cruisers for
club participation!

Saturday evening Frisch's in
Anderson served Big Boys
to some of the 150 entries including: Davey, JD, Gary
& Betty, Rusty, *Ron & Marilyn, Leroy, Louis & Judy,
Brian & Mandi and Earl Galbreath. Congratulations to
Vintage Rollers for club participation!

I did not cruise with you Saturday because I had been
gone a lot and needed to get some things done at home,
BUT I was thinking about you (some--not such good
thoughts--guess who). It all started when I went to
the mailbox and thought "why all of the mail this time
of the month". While walking to the house and
browsing through the envelopes, I thought, "I have
been set up!". When opening the mail I was reminded
that I am "60 years young" and Larry (had to be, Joyce
is too sweet to be your partner in crime) reminded me
again & again & again & again & again & again. Larry,
sorry to burst your bubble, but it still does not
bother me! Joyce, remind him that he owes you a book
of stamps. Yes, I opened them Saturday (Leroy is
going to squeal on me anyway, but He could not keep a
straight face when I questioned him about being a
blabbermouth). Anyway, THANK YOU to everyone for the
birthday greetings.

Happy Birthday to all of the July baby boomers. There
are so many I know I will forget someone, so I will
let you "spill the beans".

HI Gangsters,
Our show committee met with Belinda, the
Matter Park
director, and David Rees, the Art Society director.
Dave is undecided on having a band next year after our
show. He needs some major sponsors.

For those going to
Berne Saturday we will be leaving
the Marion Burger King North at
8am and head north on
HW 9 and East on HW 218 to
Berne.

Gary, we need some flyers for your show the next time
you come to
Randolphs. For those of you that did not
go to the Rods & Relics Show last year just a warning:
take plenty of cash with you--the lawn mower is a
mere $22,000.00. Pre-Registration is due by August
15. If you do not have a flyer, call me.
