February 2007

February 1, 2007

Good Evening,
I have been a little lax in getting emails out to you,
but maybe I can get at least part of the info out this
evening.  We need some prayers.

Our 2006 Kroozin Matter Park Wolfman Award winner was
Leroy Kissick and he and Wanda need some prayer.  The
following is a message from Wanda.
Leroy has been sick since Thanksgiving. He has lost
30lbs. Two weeks ago they gave him a
treatment(Zevalin) which is liquid radiation. So far I
haven't seen much approvment. Hopefully he will get
better and we will see you in June. Wanda&Leroy

Sally Weist had a fainting spell and was admitted to
Marion General Hospital on Wednesday.  After several
tests nothing major has been found and she was
released this evening.  They think she has some sinus
or allergy problems and thyroid needs a little help.
They are still going to do another test as an
outpatient.  She is getting a good physical.

We have received thank you cards from the Savage
family and Jim & Jodi Zerby.  They were passed around
Saturday evening so if you were not there, stop by the
shop to see them.

Everyone have a good weekend and Stay Warm!!
Leroy & Anna Marie

Good Evening Gangsters,
If you are interested in adding your name to the NSRA
Fellowship Pages let us know before Feb. 12.  This is
a list of names and phone numbers to call if you are
traveling and have problems, so if you would be
willing to assist a fellow rodder, this is the
deadline for this years booklet.

If you have not paid your 2007 dues of $10, please get
it to our new treasurer, Art Faust, 765-948-3116, 6544
S Strawtown Pk, Jonesboro, IN  46938-9603,
hotrod383@aol.com.  IF you do not know Artie, he has
the yellow 1970 Roadrunner.

The next dinner will be at Wabash Gardens (again) in
the basement at 5pm on Feb 24.  Ron, that is spelled g
a r d e n s!!  If you will be attending, let me know
by Monday, Feb 19, so I can tell Kim how many to plan
on feeding in the basement buffet.  I hear that
vegetarian Debbie has turned into quite a rib eater!!

The North Park Mall Indoor Show, April 7, 2007, setup
7am ending after 9pm.  We have eleven entries signed
up and Earl G. and Tom R. reserving a space. There is
still plenty of space left, 22 spots.  We would like
to keep it all 9th Streeters, if we have enough
interest.  Get your $10 entry fee with your name,
address, phone, email address, year, make & model of
vehicle to Artie, Jerry or Leroy.  Of course, if we
have more and the weather is nice, we can always park
outside, too.  Jeff, the mall PR man and Phil Morrow's
son, is trying to get a donation from the Mall owners
for our charity, but this is mostly just a promo for
the mall.  We are just trying to help the community.

Kroozin Matter Park will be here before we know it.
We have 6 pre-entries, several sponsors, vendors, door
prizes, goody bag items and extra activities.  Start
talking to your contacts, we want this to be even
bigger & better than last year.  We will be putting
together 500 goodie bags but will take any number of
items.  Get those door prizes stored up!

In January, we had 41 enjoying dinner at Wabash
Gardens (and 2 that got lost and ended up at The
Cove).  Everyone enjoyed it so much that they voted to
return in February on the 24th and December 8.  Mark
your calendars.  It is nice to have the whole basement
for our group and they do a nice buffet for us.  Get
your reservations in to me for Feb. by the 19th.
Welcome to our guests, Kens friend, Cheryl, and Bob
McIntire, a vanner.  Bob is an old van friend who
recently lost his wife.
Where do you want to go in March?  Do some of you in
other towns have some place that can handle a group of
50?  Gary suggested Ryans in Marion unless we get some
other options.

Everyone stay warm and enjoy the Super Bowl!
Love ya,
Leroy & Anna Marie
