April 2007

March 4, 2007

Good Evening,
If you have entered the show you should be at the mall
between 7 & 8am on Saturday, April 7, at the entrance
by Steve & Barrys on the southeast side.  If you have
not entered but would like to enter, please call
Leroy, 674-4520.  If you have not entered but want to
visit with your club family,  come on out to the mall.
Awards and 50/50 drawing will be about 8:00pm.

Everyone enjoyed the dinner at Upper Crust and
visiting with 35 fellow club members.  Thanks to
Brenda for organizing it and to her and Karol for the
Easter eggs.  Next time, do not let Larry Snider have
any!!  We took up a collection and gave a club
donation for a young girl with brain cancer.

Leroy was watching the fishermen catch fish afterwards
and got the fever.

Artie has paid $257 for the club insurance, $10 for
the continuation of the non profit status with the
state, $12.80 for 200 more vendor forms for KMP and
$55.20 for postage.  Our total balance was $2188.06
but I do not know how much of that is show money.  We
have received 12 pre-entries for KMP and the vendors
and sponsors are doing well.
We have 49 members for 2007 and we will do a list for
you soon.

Anna Marie and Leroy,

Could you forward this to all the people who were here Saturday April 7.

I would like to thank you for your participation in the North Park Mall Classic Car Show on Saturday, April 7, 2007.  I’ve had several comments from passersby about how they enjoyed viewing your cars!

Please believe me when I say that I understand your frustrations in the delay of your late departure from the mall.  I know the many hours you spent showing your cars and the work it takes to prepare them for show.  I do apologize for any untimely inconvenience.

I appreciate your participation in this event and hope to work with you again in the future.  I do believe it was a great success!

Thank you,

Jeffrey A. Morrow

THe following is a message from Gilead about their
show on May 12.

Dear Friends of Gilead,

Our 9th Annual Car Show is on Saturday, May 12, 2007.
We're back at IWU's University Plaza (formerly Big R)
located at the corner of St. Rds. 9 & 37.

I would like to invite all of you to join us for a day
of classic cars, oldies music, good food from Rocks
Concessions and an opportunity to win prizes.

Registration is $10.00 if registered by May 1, 2007.
$12.00 day of the show.

We are also looking for sponsorships in honor of a
survivor or in memory of a family member who has died
of cancer.  You can also honor those who have helped
during the time a person had cancer.  A Dr., Pastor,
SS teacher, friend, family, etc, can be honored with a
driveway sign as well.  Sponsorship is $100.00.  All
signs are hand painted by an artist and are top
quality.

We are also in need of donations for door prizes,
goody bags and auction items.  Goody bag items
include, pens, pencils, note pads, calendars, discount
coupons, free items from businesses or churches that
would promote them.  There are a few special items for
the goody bags.  Bottled water, small snack size
chips, Little Debbie cakes, package crackers.  These
help with those who have special needs during the day
of the show.  We are in need of 150 of each of these
items.  We can give you a donation receipt if you need
one.

Thanks for helping us make the lives of cancer
patients brighter, we could not do this without you,

Bill

Hope everyone did not procrastinate on income taxes as
much as I did.  I finished all of them yesterday
except for ours and just did an extension on them.

This attachment is a message from Kory Estep.

Yahoo must have changed the format for our email.
Most of the time I do not get the option to forward as
text or as an attachment.  I do not like sending
attachments because of viruses.  If anyone has any
ideas on this, please let me know.

The following is an email that we received from Jerry
Hendey (not his email address).

If anyone is interested,  I will have a 1967 Impala, 4
door sedan body for sale this summer.  It was a 90K
big block car w/ 400 turbo.

Everything works, including A/C.  Includes trans and
dual exhaust. (new windshield)
It will be near Indy for pick up.

Is anyone planning to go to Burkies Drive-In in Muncie
Saturday?

More later,
AJ

Good Evening,
Surprise!  Yep, this is number 2 for today.

Leroy is planning to leave here about 4:30pm Thursday
to go to Muncie Long John Silvers.  Let us know if you
are going over.  He plans to get Kroozin Calendars
from Sonny if you want us to pick up one for you.

Here we are again...where do you want to meet during
the week and Wednesdays or Thursdays??  We can go
downtown on the square and take food with you if you
want to eat (there is a new food area in the Centrum
Mall where Annies was, but do not know if they are
open in the evening).  The mall parking lot in front
of the old Nationwise store (behind Advance, Star bank
in that area).  You could bring food or Ugalde,
Applebys (in the mall) or McDonalds, Long John
Silvers, Jim Dandy are all within walking distance.
Jim Dandy parking lot in the rear was mentioned last
year but that may have customers parking in it.  Any
more ideas??  We need at least 25-30 parking spots.
Have not heard any more about Yummys but it is not
open yet.

Till Later,
Leroy & AJ
